Principal's Message

Dear Marina High School Families,

I'd like to start our Weekly Wave with gratitude over your participation in the YouthTruth survey. As of this morning, we have 12% of our families respond to it but our goal is to increase your participation percentage to 20% before the window closes this Friday! Since I know we come together as a community, I am confident we will be able to reach this goal. Please use this link to participate. Your input is very valuable and will help our school and district make important decisions about our students.

Another way that you can provide (and receive) input is by coming to our Parent-Teacher Conferences. We will host our conferences in person this Tuesday, 3:30 - 5:00 pm.and then virtual on Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30 pm and Thursday 4:00 - 6:00 pm. This is a very important time to connect with your student's teachers and learn more about their work in class, strengthening your scholar's success.

For the first time and as a way to kick-off our Parent-Teacher Conferences, we are having live music performed by Ms. Carney’s students., delicious appetizers prepared by Ms. Melville’s Culinary students, and artwork created by Ms. Shayani’s Art students, Stop by the Culinary Room at Marina High School on Tuesday, October 27, from 2:30–4:30 p.m.  Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there!

And finally, you are all invited to our now traditional Día de los Muertos Event at our school during lunch next Monday November 2nd. We will have live music performed by our Marina High Mariachi and pastries baked by our Culinary Arts Students.

We are making our community stronger in multiple ways. Please join all of these three opportunities and help us keep on making our school the best kept secret in the area.

Let's continue our partnership and let's have a great week.
Go Mariners!
