Dear Marina High School Families,
This week I'd like to start by sharing my appreciation for your ongoing support and presence at Marina High School. The activities that we provided for you and our scholars this past week were a clear reminder of the ongoing work as we continue to make a stronger and better community.
Thank you all for participating in our Parent-Teacher Conferences both in person and virtually. You attended these conferences and had the opportunity to get to know our teachers, their practice, and the content of the programs your kids participate in. This opportunities also allow you to get to know more about ways we can support your scholar as they complete their high school pathway.
We also had our Link Crew leaders work with our Freshmen and participate in the now-traditional pumpkin decorating activity during lunch on Wednesday. Well, as risky as it sounds, the activity was a total success and our kids had a blast. Our scholars took their time to spend time with each other in a well organized activity:

As hard as it may be to imagine getting all freshmen to do something that involves paint and be successful, well, I am happy to report all the paint went onto the pumpkins only!
And finally, on Friday we opened our school for our Fright Night event. It was such a great get-together of our community in a safe and fun environment. We had our families, students and staff participate and ensure we all had a great night (giant chicken and all):
Thank you for the ongoing partnership in support of our schools and our scholars.
Go Mariners!
