Another good meet for our Mariners at the MPUSD XC Tri-Meet #2!
Nelly Isidro won the girls race by a full minute, breaking her own course record in 22:08.4 (23:23 last week). Kanon Shell finished in 7th, and Cynthia Arvizu finished 12th.
The boys defeated Seaside and Monterey once again and established themselves as the top MPUSD XC team! All 6 boys ran course PR's, improving their times from last week. Matt Edwards and Steven Aspeitia went 1st and 2nd for the 2nd straight week, with Matt breaking his own course record in 17:08.1. Joshua Jimenez finished 7th, Mike Edwards in 10th, and Oscar Cardenas in 12th. Senior Michael Bayer once again continues to smash his times from the last 4 years; he ran a PR of 21:20.2 in his 2nd ever varsity race and defeated scoring members of Seaside and Monterey's team in helping the team win today.
